End of Summer Outdoor Buddies Campout, Cast & Blast!
Outdoor Buddies will meet Saturday August 24th and Sunday August 25th for an End of Summer Campout at Tarryall SWA Colorado. We will have our campground ready for camping, with canopies, a wall tent with cots, and newly finished camp tables. Bring your tent if you wish, as you are welcome to come up Saturday (either for the day, or for an overnighter) or Sunday for the day. Saturday morning we will meet at 9:00 am at the shooting range next to the garage, for Shoot from the Vehicle Practice. At noon we will have our chef Terry Gleason and sons grill hamburgers and brats. Saturday evening we can gather under the stars for story telling and traditional camping activities. Sunday morning our chef will cook a pancake breakfast at 8:00 am. This event will give us an opportunity to catch fish, get some practice shooting from a vehicle as well as archery practice. There will be prizes for the best shot, and the biggest fish caught!
We will take 2-5 anglers to stocked ponds at the Stage Stop Pond close to the reservoir.
Below is the agenda of activities.
- Shooting begins at 9:00 am on Saturday.
- Barbeque will be behind bunkhouse a noon.
- Archery will begin at 1:00 pm at the shooting range.
- Camp will be set up in the morning and we will have canopies for socializing at camp. Please be prepared for camp story telling in the evening.
- fishing – all day long.
- Sunday morning we will have a pancake breakfast at the camp at 8:00 am.
We will have Outdoor Buddies Action Track chairs available for use.
The Tarryall bunkhouse is located at 16226 Tarryall Rd., County Road 77, Jefferson, CO 80456 (south of Jefferson, in Park County Colorado). Please note that the entrance is located in the back of the building. Directions to the campground coming from Jefferson – take the left hand turn at the second pier on the lake (Forest Service Rd 143) , and then first left at green gate, off of FS Rd 143, and drive up the road to the campground.
