The hunting event at Drake Land Farms near Goodrich, Colorado is scheduled from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Hunters are kindly requested to arrive promptly at 9:00 am, giving Outdoor Buddies Volunteers adequate time to prepare. Established in 1980, Drake Land Farms is a hunting club encompassing 867 acres of land with 1.5 miles along the South Platte River, making it an ideal hunting habitat. Larry Sanford and Christopher Nowak are coordinating this event. Christopher Nowak serves as the Outdoor Buddies Treasurer and is a member/owner of the Drake Land Farms hunting club. The event is anticipated to offer excellent harvest opportunities with plans to plant 200 pheasants. Shooting privileges are reserved for mobility impaired members and youth hunters. Outdoor Buddies will provide adaptive equipment to assist mobility impaired hunters in navigating the terrain, including the “Go-Getter” ATV device and three Action Track chairs. The event will span the entire day, commencing at 9:00 am, and lunch will be provided. After the hunt, harvested birds will be cleaned and distributed among participants who wish to take them.
